Job description

Join our Metals & Minerals team as Trade Operation Senior Officer/ Executive. We require a professional with at least 2 years experience managing trading operations for base metal / non- ferrous metal shipments.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage end to end post sales process; prepare and verify shipping documents
• Handle payments to suppliers and monitor customer receivables; check on credit line requirements, facilitate application and escalate potential issues to management
• Record transactions in internal systems (including SAP), including monthly closing entries, provide shipping documents to Accounting Dept for profit & loss management
• Communicate with clients, shipping companies and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of documents
• Assist the Operation Manager and Traders in contract negotiations, dispatch, and demurrage negotiations to ensure timely and effective settlements

Other Requirements

• Minimum Diploma holder with at least 2 years experience in trading operation
• Experience in base metal / non ferrous metal shipment, Letter of Credit; Strong knowledge of Incoterms, UCP 600, URC 522.
• A team player with good time management skill, details oriented and interpersonal skill
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Knowledge of internal system e.g.SAP (preferred)
• Proficiency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) is essential to effectively liaise with mandarin speaking external stakeholders.
