Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a Trade Operations Officer to manage contract execution and shipping documentation. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of trade operations experience and hold a diploma in a relevant field. Knowledge of Letter of Credit and Incoterms is essential. The position offers a convertible contract with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in trade operations.
  • Knowledge/experience with agriculture products is an advantage.
  • Understanding of UCP 600 and URC 522 is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage execution of contract documents and schedules.
  • Prepare and send shipping documents to suppliers.
  • Monitor payment timelines for suppliers and customers.
  • Maintain stock inventory reporting and manage contracts.

Skills

Trade operations experience

Job Description:
  • Manage the execution of contract such as documentation (Contract / Shipping Instruction / Shipping Documents / Delivery Order etc), accommodation of delivery schedule, Key-in to the accounting system and necessary reporting to Commercial team and/or section manager.
  • Issue contract sheets to customers.
  • Prepare shipping documents from suppliers and send shipping instructions of materials for shipment.
  • Send a copy of the full set of shipping documents.
  • Arrange payment to the supplier on time and monitor receivable payment from the customer.
  • Report credit limit balance in terms of percentage.
  • Input transaction data into the system.
  • Manage stock inventory reporting.
  • Coordinate with forwarded/warehousing delivery and permit and inspection arrangement.
  • Monitor overall business to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Support the manager to enhance business.
  • Manage and keep soft copy of contract in the system
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma in relevant field
  • At least 1 to 2 years’ experience in trade operations (Candidates with agriculture products knowledge/experience have better advantage)
  • Good knowledge in Letter of Credit (L/C).
  • Good knowledge of Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600).
  • Good knowledge of Uniform Rule for Collections (URC 522).
  • Good knowledge of Incoterms (FOB, CFR, CIF, etc.).
