Role Overview

As a Trade Manager, you will be responsible for developing the Asia to Iraq trade lane, with a focus on optimizing vessel utilization and maximizing profitability. You will plan and deliver the Iraq trade budget targets with best contribution and achieve leading market share position in Iraq.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather market feedback, analyse data, and support in the development of pricing policy
  • Monitor and adjust the pricing policy in accordance to market trends, competitor activity, and line management's rate policies.
  • Process all pricing and rate enquiries from agencies for the Far East to Iraq trade
  • Implement strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and vessel utilization.
  • Monitor weekly performance and forecast
  • Drive sales performance, volume targets and budget among agencies
  • Set origin port allocations (COA) and sales targets by country and customer (CSA) in accordance to budget.
  • Manage pricing and marketing systems
  • Participate in yearly budget setting
  • Participate in weekly calls with HO VP, Dubai and Levant Commercial and Trade Directors on Far East to Iraq trade performance
  • Prepare reports and market research to inform trade policies, pricing decisions, and business development initiatives.
  • Prepare and distribute timely pricing reports, sales analyses, and revenue tracking updates.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the region
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelors Degree in Maritime, Business or any related discipline
  • 5 years experience in commercial / trade role in the shipping industry.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis

This role is opened for local employment only.
