Job summary

SHINHAN BANK Singapore is seeking a dedicated Trade Finance Officer to handle LC issuance, advising, confirmation, negotiation and documentary collections.

You will perform document checking against LC terms, process related products, ensure records, and liaise with customers for advice. Proficiency in sanctions and regulatory requirements is required; Korean and English skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years of trade finance experience or more
• Diploma holder or equivalent
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous with strong time management
• Understanding of sanctions/regulatory requirements (EU, OFAC, UN)
• Knowledge of trade finance documentary products and LC terms
• Proficiency in Korean and English is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Handle processing and settlement of Documentary Trade transactions (LC Issuance, Advising, Confirmation, Negotiation, and Documentary Collections)
• Perform document checking against LC terms and ICC rules
• Process LC-related products (Transferable LC, Back to Back LC, LC Financing)
• Process other Trade Finance products (Bill Discounting, Invoice Financing, Forfaiting/Factoring)
• Ensure proper documentation of transaction records
• Liaise with customers to provide specialized advice and answer queries
• Perform Sanction screening and AML checks for trade transactions
• Participate in UAT and projects as assigned
• Carry out other duties as instructed by the manager
