This role is not high‑volume (less than 5 shipments per month) but emphasizes accuracy, compliance, banking relationships, financing optimization, and documentation excellence. You will play a key role in managing trade finance processes, strengthening relationships with banks, and ensuring smooth financial and shipment coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Trade Finance & Banking Support

  • Review, verify, and manage day‑to‑day trade finance operations for import/export transactions.
  • Establish and maintain strong banking relationships to support financing requirements.
  • Assist in optimizing B2B credit lines, banking facilities, and LC limits.
  • Handle Letters of Credit (LC) issuance, amendments, negotiation, discounting, trust receipt financing, and document presentations to banks in compliance with UCP 600.
  • Manage bank account opening, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate telegraphic transfers (TT)

2. Documentation & Compliance (Low Volume, High Accuracy)

  • Prepare and verify accurate trade and shipping documents including commercial invoices, Bills of Lading (B/L), COO, COQ, sales/purchase contracts, etc.
  • Ensure full compliance with INCOTERMS, LC terms, UCP 600, ISBP guidelines, and company policies.
  • Maintain organized and audit‑ready trade finance records.
  • Escalate any discrepancies or exceptions in documentation or trade transactions to Management promptly.

3. Logistics & Shipment Coordination

  • Coordinate up to 3–5 shipments per month with suppliers, buyers, vessel operators, freight forwarders, and terminals.
  • Track shipment schedules, ensure timely submission of shipping documents for bank negotiation and customs clearance.
  • Resolve minor discrepancies in documentation, shipment details, or bank requirements efficiently.
  • Monitor cargo movement, discharge arrangements, and timely document release.

4. Receivables, Payments & Financial Reporting

  • Monitor accounts receivable and payment collection to ensure timely cash inflow.
  • Manage inward/outward remittances, invoice discounting, LOI redemption, and settlement of trade transactions.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting (short‑term and long‑term), funding requirements, and credit line utilization.
  • Support month‑end closing activities and trade finance reporting.
  • Reconcile and monitor bank credit lines and financial records.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3–6 years of experience in trade finance or trade operations, preferably in Oil & Gas or commodities trading.
  • Experience in handling oil or liquid cargo documentation is essential.
  • Strong understanding of LCs, UCP 600, INCOTERMS, B/L documents, treasury transactions, and international trade settlements.
  • Experience in an SME/small trading environment is an advantage.
  • Diploma or equivalent working experience — Degree not required.
  • Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills for dealing with banks, suppliers, shipping agents, and internal stakeholders.
Why Join Us?
  • Work‑life balance with flexible working hours.
  • Low shipment volume (less than 5 per month) — more focus on accuracy and financial optimization rather than operational stress.
  • Small and supportive team where your contribution is recognized and valued.
  • Opportunity to establish, enhance, and streamline trade finance processes and banking support as the company grows.
