Job summary
A financial services firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced trade finance professional to promote and sell trade finance products. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in trade finance or corporate banking, solid understanding of international trade practices, and strong client relationship skills. Proficiency in English is essential, while Mandarin is a bonus. This role requires proactive business development and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in trade finance or corporate banking.
- Proven exposure to Letters of Credit and documentary trade products.
- Solid understanding of UCP 600, ISP98, and international trade practices.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell trade finance products to corporate clients.

Responsibilities
- Promote and sell trade finance products, especially Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, and related payment solutions, to corporate clients across key industries (importers/exporters, commodities, manufacturing, and trading).
- Develop and manage a portfolio of clients, building long-term partnerships through proactive relationship management and tailored financial solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective clients to grow the company’s trade finance revenue.
- Collaborate with internal teams (credit, operations, compliance) to ensure smooth transaction execution and risk control.
- Stay informed of market trends, regulatory updates, and competitors’ offerings in the trade finance landscape.
- Deliver sales presentations and negotiate terms to close deals effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in trade finance or corporate banking, with proven exposure to Letters of Credit and documentary trade products.
- Solid understanding of UCP 600, ISP98, and international trade practices.
- Strong business development mindset with good client relationship skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities in English (Mandarin proficiency is a plus for dealing with Chinese corporate clients).
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
