Job summary

A corporate banking company in Singapore seeks a Trade Finance Relationship Manager to develop client relationships and manage trade finance business. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in trade finance or corporate banking, strong understanding of trade finance products, and excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin. The role involves managing credit applications and ensuring compliance with KYC and AML regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trade finance or corporate banking.
  • Strong understanding of trade finance products, credit processes, and corporate lending.
  • Familiar with international trade rules such as UCP, ISP98, and URC.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and other FIs.
  • Support the implementation of marketing initiatives and new deals.
  • Prepare and present new credit applications to the Credit Committee.
  • Manage the renewal and review of existing credit facilities.
  • Monitor and manage the existing portfolio for compliance.
  • Act as the liaison between clients and internal departments.
  • Review and approve day-to-day trade transactions.
  • Prepare regular management and Head Office reports.
  • Participate in departmental and bank-wide projects.

Position Title: Trade Finance Relationship Manager (ARM to junior RM)

Department: Corporate Banking / Trade Finance

Job Description
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, and other FIs to drive trade finance business opportunities
  • Support the implementation of marketing initiatives, new deals, and products as directed by the Department Head
  • Prepare and present new credit applications, including comprehensive credit and market analysis, to the Credit Committee for approval
  • Manage the renewal and review of existing credit facilities, ensuring timely submission of credit memorandums and documentation to Head Office
  • Monitor and manage the existing portfolio to ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and the Bank’s credit policy
  • Act as the key liaison between clients and internal departments to address business requirements and operational matters
  • Review, evaluate, and raise day-to-day trade transaction approvals in line with bank policies
  • Prepare regular management and Head Office reports, including month-end summaries and ad hoc analyses
  • Participate in departmental and bank-wide projects as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trade finance or corporate banking
  • Strong understanding of trade finance products, credit processes, and corporate lending
  • Familiar with international trade rules such as UCP, ISP98, and URC
  • Good communication and writing skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Chinese clients and Head Office)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses strong interpersonal and analytical skills
