Company Description

The Trade and Visual Merchandising Executive is responsible for ensuring consistency in branding guidelines across all boutiques and stores in Singapore. This role requires attention to detail, perfection in implementation and execution, and creativity in conceptualizing new ideas for in‑store and out‑of‑store events. The ideal candidate must be proactive and able to work closely with the Singapore Marketing and Retail team, based on the planned Marketing calendar, while overseeing expenses related to these segments. As a brand guardian and ambassador, this position plays a pivotal role in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including Regional Marketing, Retail, Merchandising, Purchasing teams, external vendors, and retailers.

Job Description
  • TRADE MARKETING:
    • Be the key person in charge of trade and client’s activation, elevating the brand and client’s journey aligned with the brand guidelines, ensuring best‑in‑class identity and execution.
    • Main POC for execution on all set‑up, changeover, logistics management, vendor/supplier’s liaison, and event management during the day of event. This execution involves close collaboration with Retail and CRM team.
    • Ahead planning and detail planning for in‑store retailtainment, festival changeover, trade activation that requires manpower or out‑of‑the‑norm staging/ tear‑down period.
    • Prepare in‑store communications when required (physical or digitally, to be always ready for retail’s perusal and updated with the latest guidelines).
    • Provide in‑depth feedbacks, ROI, improvements for next events to elevate even better in upcoming events.
    • Always in the lookout for competition and best practices to leverage on the trends in the competition within the market.
  • VISUAL MERCHANDISING:
    • Responsible for timely forecasting all VM tools, both centrally and locally sourced, during the budget period, and following up monthly on all POs creation and invoicing with accurate expense tracking.
    • Prepare, adapt, and finalize planograms in line with regional guidelines and business strategy within the given timeline.
    • Fulfil monthly planogram reporting activities and align with Regional Team feedback. Rectify inaction upon alignment.
    • Responsible for the visual/video plan implementation, from vendor briefing to installation and invoicing.
    • Regularly visit stores to control, improve, and provide feedback on all VM matters. Ensure monthly store and boutique pictures are lodged for safe‑keeping to monitor counter maintenance, advance planning (if required), and capturing new VM changes.
    • Actively propose solutions and initiatives to elevate the brand image and enhance retail sales through Visual Merchandising.
  • HARD MERCHANDISING:
    • Responsible for new counter openings, including budget ownership, commercial briefing, purchasing and invoicing processes, POSM ordering, counter setup, and opening reports.
    • Ensure that the portfolio of doors is well‑maintained according to VM standards through regular planned maintenance.
    • Responsible and accountable for regularly updating and maintaining the Distribution and Merchandising database with relevant, up‑to‑date information on the Guerlain network and key competitors.
    • Actively share competitive intelligence, including 360 trade, new visuals, launch POSM, renovations, brand in/out, updated floor plans, and best practices.
  • REPORT / ANALYSIS
    • Post‑changeover report for review and update to relevant parties.
    • Post‑event report for every in‑store or out‑of‑store events.
    • On‑time submission for all requested forecast/ quotation/ agreements with accurate understanding and sufficient knowledge prior to agreeing any of expenses requests (internally and externally).

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, comms, business, graphics or other relevant subject.
  • Min. 2 years of Trade or Events Experience in luxury or beauty industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communicator, coordinator and go‑getter are encouraged to apply.
  • Creative, innovative, always want to be ‘in the know’, attention for details, organised and have a great sense of time management are required to have (preferred to have few of the criteria but not limited to).
  • Able to independently work on designated topics and familiar with the current basic office functions (Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or other instant designing apps) are mandatory.
  • Willingness to adapt, thrive in a start‑up like environment where flexibility and hands‑on approach are key factors to succeed.
  • Ability to capitalize in innovative creative strategies to optimise Trade and Merchandising budget spent for above the bracket ROI.
