An Australian governmental agency is seeking a Trade and Investment Commissioner in Singapore to lead local teams, assist exporters, and represent Australia. The ideal candidate will promote Australian capabilities, secure foreign investments, and require Australian citizenship along with fluency in English. Working in a dynamic operating environment as part of an Australian and local team, the Executive Level 2 (EL2) Trade and Investment Commissioner’s (TIC) role is to help exporters, investors, and buyers to capitalise on emerging opportunities, navigate changes in the local trading environment and mitigate risk.
Working with and leading an experienced locally engaged team, the EL2 Trade and Investment Commissioners will contribute to:
The Trade and Investment Commissioner will be part of the regional management team and will contribute to Austrade’s broader leadership cohort.
In markets with a dual responsibility as Consul-General, the TIC will also represent the Australian Government as a senior government representative and will be responsible for
Australian Citizenship - Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
Language Proficiency - Our successful candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English.
Security Clearance - Our successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 security clearance.
