Job summary

A staffing and recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking an individual for a banking role responsible for validating trades and authorizing payments. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of trade experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree holder or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year trade experience in a banking environment.
  • Enthusiastic, attentive to detail, flexible, and driven to succeed.
  • Control focused with good understanding of operational risk impact.
  • Able to communicate effectively across all levels and teams in different locations.
  • Able to prioritize, multi-task, and work under time pressure.
  • Able to learn quickly and take responsibility for own learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform validation of all new interest rate derivatives/commodity/options trades.
  • Authorize payments and receipts for treasury products.
  • Perform fixing procedures in relevant systems.
  • Liaise with counterparties and local operations.
  • Monitor and handle end-to-end payment process, including exceptions.
  • Investigate and resolve all reconciliation breaks or exceptions.
  • Manage all inquiries related to pre and post trade effectively.
Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform validation of all new interest rate derivatives/commodity/options trades against source documents in Murex or Front Arena systems
  • Authorise payments and receipts for above mentioned treasury products
  • Perform fixing procedures in Murex and Front Arena systems
  • Liaising of settlement or fixing with respective counterparties and local ops
  • Monitor and handle end-to-end payment process, including exception handling of unmatched/alleged trades and the necessary follow ups and escalation
  • Ensures all reconciliation breaks or exceptions are investigated and resolved within stipulated turnaround time
  • Ensure all inquiries (email or SWIFT) related to pre and post trade are effectively managed
