Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering invites applications for Research Assistant positions in the Belopolski Research Group (QuantumX Labs). The group focuses on topological quantum materials, synthesis by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), and exploring new quantum phases for electronics and quantum computing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mathematics, quantum physics, electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong theoretical and mathematical background.
• Experience with optics, transport measurements or materials synthesis is preferred.
• Familiarity with MBE, ARPES or related characterization techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize atomically precise thin films of new topological materials using MBE.
• Develop approaches to accelerate MBE materials development with in situ characterization & ML.
• Characterize resistivity, Hall effect, non-linear transport and magnetization.
• Collaborate with NTU EEE and SPMS groups worldwide.
• Build in-house capabilities in optics, microwaves and quantum sensing.
