Job summary

An aviation support service company in Singapore is seeking a Tool Calibration Mechanic responsible for ensuring tools are calibrated, overseeing maintenance of equipment, and training staff on safety and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has a Higher NITEC or Diploma in Logistics and preferably 2 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. This role may require shift work and overtime.

Qualifications

  • Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Class 3 driving license required.
  • Willingness to work overtime and on weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure tools are calibrated and that lifting gear undergoes timely load testing and visual inspections.
  • Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of department equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  • Handle the receipt, documentation, storage, and distribution of aircraft tools.
  • Train staff on minor troubleshooting for tools and equipment.

Job description
Tool Calibration Mechanic (Logistic in Aviation, Shift Work)

Ensure tools are calibrated and that lifting gear undergoes timely load testing and visual inspections.

Track the expiry dates of tools and equipment.

Record Keeping and Compliance

Maintain accurate records for operations and training.

Coordinate for authority and customer audits.

Keep up with the paperwork related to tool management.

Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance

Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of department equipment, tools, and vehicles.

Manage the maintenance and repair program for aircraft tools, either troubleshooting in-house or liaising with external vendors.

Coordinate with vendors for the purchase, repair, and maintenance of aircraft tools.

Daily Tool Store Operations

Handle the receipt, documentation, storage, and distribution of aircraft tools.

Ensure safety and proper management of tools.

Maintain a 5S environment within the tool store.

Staff Training and Safety

Train staff on minor troubleshooting for tools and equipment.

Conduct briefings on technical handling and safety issues for staff.

Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Operation Executive.

Job Requirements
Education

Higher NITEC or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain or a related discipline.

Experience

Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Skills
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Other
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Class 3 driving license.
  • Willingness to work overtime and on weekends when necessary.

Working Hours: 0830 to 1730 from Mon to Fri, will require to perform shift when operations need.
