Overview
The Video Editor will assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision suitable for online publication. As a Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story. We’re seeking a proactive and independent Video Editor who is passionate about both digital media and native advertising.
Responsibilities
- Piece together video edits to create creative and highly engaging video content
- Ensure that the project is consistent with the brand guidelines established.
- File, direct and edit videos including adding subtitles, audio and adding visual effects
- Edit video footage and sound into a clear video according to the storyboards and assigned deadline
- Delivering videos independently under tight deadlines
- Manage all archive video footage and maintain an organized editing workflow
- Work closely with the production team and relevant department.
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in any discipline.
- Specialize in Graphic Design/ Film Production/ Film, Sound and Video is a plus factor.
- At least 1 year of experience in post-production role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and adaptable to a fast-paced working environment.
- Excellent in time management skills that includes being able to have a rapid turn-over for shoots and edit.
- Experience in implementing different animation styles, including traditional animation.
- Technically skilled and experienced in handling and operating cameras/lights/audio equipment.
- Proficient in Capcut, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of motion graphics is a major advantage.
- Possess excellent communication and written skills in both English and Chinese (to maintain and develop relationships with English and Chinese-speaking key customers and job content).
