Job summary

The Internal Security Department (ISD) of Singapore seeks a Cyber Analytics Engineer to apply analytical skills to cyber threat data within Singapore’s cyberspace. You will join cyber threat intelligence operations across multiple areas, including data aggregation, analytics software development, and threat trend detection.

No experience is required, but you should be self-motivated, able to work alone or in teams, and ready to learn other languages and tools. Singaporeans only.

Qualifications

• Interest in cyber security and data analytics.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Familiarity with SQL, Pig, Hive, SparkQL.
• Knowledge of machine learning, data analytics, algorithms, big data, visualization, networks, kill chain.

Responsibilities

• Aggregate and enrich large amounts of data from multiple sources.
• Design and develop cyber-analytics solutions for threat analysis.
• Contextualize and correlate threat events for actionable intelligence.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct data mining to derive emerging cyber threat trends.
• Evaluate and improve internal and open-source tools to optimize workflows.
