Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.

As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world’s money. For everyone, everywhere.

Responsibilities
• Third Party Risk Senior Regional Liaison responsibilities: You will be the primary representative for the group’s Third Party Risk framework within your allocated entities and regions. You will oversee and enhance comprehensive Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) activities, ensuring rigorous adherence to the group’s third-party management policies and local regulatory requirements. You will act as the key liaison between the central Third Party Risk function and regional entities and guide local policy implementation, assist with local regulatory interpretations related to Third Party Risk, and support IntraGroup risk activities to align with group standards. You will provide vital support for regional entities and stakeholders across multiple management levels and lines of defense (2L Risk and Compliance, Regional Banking and Product teams, Regional Operational leadership, Internal Audit).
• Role focus: Safeguard the organization from potential risks associated with allocated third party engagements. Support designated business areas in oversight of TPRM risks and coordinate related activities. Contribute to hands-on maintenance and strategic enhancement of the TPRM framework.
• Key activities include: regional-specific responsibilities such as Localisation, Risk Oversight, Governance Forums, Audit / Exams, and IntraGroup Activity.
Responsibilities (detailed)
• Localization: Own the localization of TPRM, including local regulatory mapping, regulatory remediation oversight, and managing outsourcing registers to ensure compliance with group policies and local regulations. Support expansion and license requests by providing essential TPRM framework input and coordinating the adoption of group policies and their local annexes.
• Risk Oversight: Assist with local quarterly risk assessments (RCSA) and third-party key indicators by interpreting and communicating the group’s stance, and assess impact on local entities’ third-party risk profiles. Maintain oversight of local controls pertaining to TPRM, ensuring compliance with group policies and local regulatory mandates. Identify and escalate deviations, proposing corrective actions to maintain a robust control environment.
• Governance Forums: Serve as the primary Third Party Risk representative in local recurring Business Reviews/Committees and other forums, owning the Third Party Risk Regional Sync. Collaborate with local stakeholders and the second line of defense to align with the group’s policy and manage risk posture. Articulate the TPRM framework and policy mandates in these forums and ensure local risk positions are reported and gaps addressed.
• Audit / Exams: Provide support for local audit and exam requests, ensuring responses and documentation align with the group’s policies. Liaise with the group’s TPRM frameworks team to ensure a globally aligned approach, and identify areas of concern or non-compliance to drive remediation.
• IntraGroup Activity: Coordinate IntraGroup risk activities, including materiality assessments and exit strategies, ensuring alignment with the group’s policy and risk framework. Define responsibilities for overseeing group activities and monitor compliance with group standards.

We are looking for candidates who align with Wise’s values and can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with regional localization activities, including regulatory mapping, policy adoption, and managing outsourcing registers.
• Experience with governance and oversight, such as coordinating quarterly risk assessments and managing local controls.
• Experience acting as a representative in local forums and managing regional syncs.
• Experience providing support for local audits, exams, and IntraGroup activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in time and project management, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and priorities with little supervision.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust to changing priorities.
• A strategic and constructive mindset that helps improve processes with a long-term vision.
