Job summary

Job description
Job Scope:
  • Assist Speech Therapists to supervise and / or monitor patients during meals and swallowing therapies.
  • Provide direct 1 to 1 patient care via swallowing therapy, e.g., oromotor exercises, Shakers. and communication therapy
  • Provide caregiver training for diet / fluid modification and swallowing therapy
  • Complete documentation on therapy tasks accurately and timely.
  • Provide assistance before and during Speech Therapy sessions, including preparation of modified diet/fluids, translation of instructions by ST, and patient transfers if needed.
  • Maintain consumable inventory for outpatient clinic and for inpatient STs.
  • Assist in loan and hire of equipment or materials out of the department including distributing patient materials and clinical supplies.
  • Provide administrative support including booking tele-consultation appointment for patients, data entry, billing and photocopying duties.
  • Set up equipment for workshops.
  • Provide therapy or caregiver training in group setting
  • Assist in triaging or conducting screening tasks based on given protocol
Requirement :
  • Minimum GCE “N” Level
  • Computer literacy is essential
  • Experience working in healthcare will be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work well independently and in a group
