Job description

Institution: National University Polyclinics

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Screen for risk factors in the diabetic foot and determine the corresponding risk level.
  • Recognise diabetic foot conditions and refer patients to the doctor/podiatrist for management.
  • Deliver education on diabetic foot care to patients and/or caregivers.
  • Provide clear documentation on the results of the diabetic foot screening.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, professional, departmental and organisational policies such as good infection control practices.
  • Take part in activities that promote awareness of Podiatry.

Requirements:

  • Higher Nitec with GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level Credits in English, Mathematics and Science.
  • WSQ Higher Certificate in Therapy Services will be an advantage.
  • 5.5 days workweek. Willing to travel to different polyclinics and work on Saturdays.
  • Service orientated with good listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and another language (Chinese, Malay, or Tamil).
  • Ability to lift reasonable loads.
  • Good time management.
  • Able to work well both independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
