Job summary

MICRON ELECTRICAL PTE. LTD. seeks a capable electrical technician to install and commission equipment on site in Singapore. You will set up cabinets, install panels, and lay out power and communication cabling while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3-4 years of field experience, a relevant degree or diploma, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, including night and weekend shifts when required.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma / ITE in Mechanical and Electrical.
• 3-4 years of field experience on site.
• Self-starter with initiative to work independently.
• Knowledge of electrical/instrument interfaces, safety and area classifications.
• Able to work in a team with troubleshooting skills.
• Willing to work during shutdowns, nights, Sundays/Public Holidays.

Job description

The candidate should have knowledge of all electrical instrumentation, installation, and other allied work, working under minimal supervision.

• Set up all the cabinets.
• Equipment installation in the panel.
• Arrangements and installation of power and communication cables required for equipment.
• Arrangements and Installation of all rail, trucking, etc.
• Installation of all free-issue components. Wiring for power controls and I/O signaling cables to terminal
• Fix all MCBs, relays, I/O modules, terminals, and accessories.
• Install all cable markings, labeling, tagging, and assembling of controller panels.
• Installation work for MV/LV SWBD.
• HV/MV/LV SWBD cable pulling and termination.
• Control cable termination between the panels or cubicles.

Support and give his full attention to project field and office strategies to achieve the key performance goals of the company. Enforce all safety and quality policies and all other company policies and procedures when and where required.

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma / ITE in Mechanical and Electrical.
• At least 3-4 years of field experience in the work site (experience in similar industries is an asset)
• Self-starter with good initiative to work independently.
• Knowledge of electrical/instrument interfaces, electrical safety, and area classifications.
• Able to work in a team with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Able to handle work pressure and complete work within the deadline.
• Exposure to working with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work during the shutdown period, which may also be during night hours.
• Willing to work beyond normal working hours and on Sunday/PH.
