Job summary

HYUNDAI ROTEM COMPANY (SINGAPORE BRANCH) is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the Project Manager and operations specialists in executing customer specifications, codes, standards, and industry practices for rail projects with MRT trains.

The role requires strong on-site problem solving, teamwork, and proactive communication in a fast-paced environment. Experience in testing, commissioning, and liaison with authorities is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in rail R&D, testing and commissioning.
• Degree or equivalent qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project-related matters with Testing & Commissioning Manager to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee and hands-on testing and commissioning of MRT trains.
• Manage subcontractors related to quality and protocol management.
• Provide progress reports on schedule, manpower and material tracking.
• Coordinate projects including submissions to local authorities and liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants and authorities.

As a Senior Engineer you will support the Project Manager, Technical andOperations Specialists in the execution of customers' specifications,applicable codes, standards and other generally accepted practices for theproject with LTA

• At least 10 years experience in Engineering activity related to R&D In rail transport industry plus Testing & Commissioning works
• Posses a degree or equivalent qualifications

Duties

• Coordinate with all project related matters with the Testing & Commissioning Manager on day to day progress of work activities, procurement and operations to ensure timely completion of project
• Oversee and hands-on for Testing & Commissioning of mrt trains
• Management of all sub-contractors associated with the Quality & Protocol management
• Provide reports on progress against schedule, manpower & material tracking.
• Project coordination including submission to local authorities andliaison with clients, Sub-contractors, consultants and authorities on technical Matters
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a highly diverse and fast paced environment and under pressure
