Job summary

NTU Singapore's History department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the History of Technology. The postholder will situate the recent history of Artificial Intelligence within longer histories of how people engage with technology to produce, organize, preserve, and transmit knowledge.

They should teach across undergraduate and graduate programs and contribute to NTU's AI Ethics and Society initiative.

Qualifications

• PhD in History or a related field required.
• Evidence of strong scholarly promise and/or publication record.
• Commitment to high-quality teaching and student mentorship.
• Ability to teach History of Computing from abacus to AI.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in History.
• Supervise postgraduate research and theses.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary research and mentoring within and beyond History.
