Job summary

An international contractor firm based in Singapore is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage tender processes for mechanical and electrical systems. The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering or QS and significant experience in Quantity Surveying. Responsibilities include analyzing RFQs, preparing risk management checklists, and submitting tenders. Experience with building construction projects is a plus. Job description

Bayes is representing an International M&E Contractor

  • Analyze and clarify RFQs during the pre-tender and tender phases, raising queries or amendments to influence clients or consultants where possible.
  • Prepare a Risk Management (RM) checklist for presentation to local and Japan management, assisting in decision‑making.
  • Conduct site visits to understand the scope of work and prepare meeting minutes (MOM) for the tender scope.
  • Lead and organize the preparation, review, and submission of tenders for mechanical, electrical, and ELV systems, ensuring completeness, quality, and compliance with technical and risk requirements.
  • Consolidate and analyze technical data, bill of quantities, price schedules, and financial details to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and maintain competitiveness during the tender process.
  • Coordinate project involvement during the tender phase, including manpower planning and preparation of a project organization chart and preliminary costs.
  • Enhance and consolidate quotes to meet target win prices, preparing a tender cost summary for management approval, and ensuring margin protection, while also preparing for tender interview presentations to support negotiations.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering/QS related studies
  • At least 5-7 years of working experiences in Quantity Surveying/Tender Management for M&E Contractor environment
  • Experience in handling building construction projects will be advantageous
