Fugro is seeking a Tender Coordinator – Marine Geotechnical Asia to join our dynamic Commercial team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical and commercial proposals that meet our clients’ needs in the marine geotechnical sector. You will lead the technical review and proposal process for onshore services, including laboratory testing, geotechnical engineering, and geoconsulting. This position requires strong operational and commercial acumen, as well as the ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Education & Experience
Degree in Civil, Geotechnical Engineering, or Geology.
Proven experience in tendering, technical proposal development, or related commercial roles.
Technical & Professional Skills
High attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects).
Fluent and proficient in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
Ability to travel at short notice.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships at all levels.
Proactive, positive, and flexible approach to work.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work to demanding deadlines.
Collaborative mindset, able to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, especially in reviewing ITT documents and preparing structured price estimates.
To excel as a Tender Coordinator at Fugro, you must combine technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong personal qualities. Your key performance expectations include:
Proposal Leadership: Lead the technical review and proposal making for onshore services, ensuring all inputs are collated and compliant with client requirements and deadlines.
Tender Analysis: Accurately assess Invitation to Tender (ITT) requirements, prepare technical requests for clarification, and consult stakeholders to develop effective proposal strategies.
Costing & Pricing: Prepare tender costing, liaise with subcontractors for quotations, and generate structured price estimates and cashflow forecasts.
Coordination & Compliance: Compile all aspects of the tender, ensuring compliance with processes and client requirements, and coordinate with internal departments for accurate input.
Stakeholder Engagement: Lead internal and client meetings, negotiate commercial positions, and maintain communication with clients to obtain feedback and support contract negotiations.
Project Handover: Conduct Commercial to Operations handover meetings after contract award and attend project kick-off meetings as required.
Continuous Improvement: Receive and apply post-contract feedback from executed projects to future bids, and maintain organized documentation of all tender correspondence and data.
