Full Job Description

This role blends design, retail strategy, and project coordination to shape engaging commercial spaces. You'll guide tenants through design approvals, support store openings, and collaborate across teams to ensure brand alignment and operational efficiency. The work environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with a strong focus on innovation, cross-functional teamwork, and delivering high-quality retail experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain Design Guidelines to reflect evolving standards.
  • Evaluate tenant design submissions and recommend practical enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Centre Management and Leasing teams to finalize tenant specifications.
  • Assist in property feasibility assessments and implement minor design improvements.
  • Share insights on market trends and consumer behavior with internal teams and tenants.
  • Ensure the architectural drawing database remains accurate and up to date.
  • Represent Space Planning in new developments and AEI projects, including design briefing and site progress tracking.
  • Liaise with consultants and contractors for regulatory submissions and drawing revisions.
  • Foster strong working relationships with tenants and their design/contractor teams throughout the fit‑out process.
  • Monitor and report on tenant design submissions and store opening schedules.
  • Contribute to the successful execution of batch store openings through coordinated teamwork.
Job Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related professional field.
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in retail interior design and fit‑out; experience in retail‑complex development is highly advantageous.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of BIM workflows is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of local building regulations, fire safety codes, and submission protocols.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tenant projects and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Excellent communication skills—visual, verbal, and written—with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive and independent, yet receptive to guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Flexible to conduct site visits during weekends or outside regular hours when required by project timelines.
