About the role

We are seeking a Temporary Executive (Communications) to join the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) in the West Region on a 6-month contract. The individual will be supporting the team mainly in the areas of content creation, collaterals and branding.

What you'll be doing
Content Creation
  • To assist in graphic design (e.g., social media posts, eDMs, etc.) and video editing (e.g., TikTok/Reels, long-form video content, etc.) to ensure that NIEC's messages are communicated effectively to audiences on all platforms.
Branding and Collaterals
  • To handle copywriting, designing, and production of both printed and digital collaterals.
Media/Trends Monitoring
  • To collate news briefs, comprising local and international news related to NIEC and the Early Childhood sector, to be sent to all staff. The incumbent may also be assisting in research work on brand audits, consumer preference surveys and competitor reviews.
Project & Events Management
  • To support projects and outreach events which include logistics arrangements, preparation of event materials, liaison work and participation on the actual day of the event (physical/virtual).
Website Management
  • To assist in the copywriting of content to promote courses or events.
What we're looking for
  • Diploma in Communications or Marketing, with at least 1 year experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Hands-on knowledge of Graphic Design Software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva
  • Hands-on knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, WeChat, XiaoHongShu)
  • Possess design and video production skills
  • Good command of English with the ability to write well
  • Curious, adaptable, intuitive and a self-starter
  • Creative, proactive, driven and positive
  • Collaborative team player
  • Good organisational skills and time management
  • Self-motivated, friendly and outgoing personality
  • Meticulous
  • Proficiency in an additional language is advantageous, particularly for translation tasks
