Job Summary

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and monthly GST submission. The role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, billing, and payment tracking.
  • Prepare and submit monthly GST returns accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all payment amounts tally with accounting records and supporting documents.
  • Assist in balancing accounts and preparing summaries of balances, cost information, and other financial reports as required.
  • Check and ensure accuracy of petty cash transactions and reconciliations.
  • File, organize, and maintain accounting and clerical records, including receipts, invoices, vouchers, expense claims, and related documentation.
  • Support general accounting and bookkeeping tasks and assist with ad-hoc finance-related duties.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
  • Diploma in Accounting and Finance.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping and GST reporting.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.

Other Information

Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 8:30am - 6:00pm
