Job description
What the role is:

The Senior Executive will be responsible for supporting the financial processes for Pre-Employment Training students. This includes processing claims, disbursements of financial awards, budgeting, receipting and ensuring compliance with policies, guidelines and requirements from regulators and funding agencies.

What you will be working on:
  • Facilitate and manage student finance-related matters and prepare relevant reports for stakeholders.
  • Address enquiries from students and parents and follow up on any outstanding matters.
  • Handle claims processing, disbursements and budget tracking of funds from funding agencies and reconcile records to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform financial reconciliation and participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in financial audits and ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Participate in system enhancements and implementations, and engage IT system vendors on system related matters.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform any other administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
What we are looking for:
  • Relevant qualification in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or audit-related areas.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills to assess complex situations, analyse data, and develop effective solutions to improve process and decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous with ability to handle large volumes of data.
  • Committed and strong team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Capable of managing work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting, and MS Power Automate for process automation is a plus.
  • The successful candidate for this temp position can be engaged for up to one year.
