Job summary

Alexandra Hospital, Singapore seeks a contract role to support digital transformation in the Pharmacy Department. You will help patients access and use digital platforms for medication needs, bridging the gap between patients and digital health services.

You will engage elderly and digitally less-confident patients, provide clear guidance, and collaborate with hospital teams to improve digital medication ordering experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O Level or equivalent.
• Familiarity with NUHS app and HealthHub is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication; patient-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on guidance to patients on using digital platforms such as NUHS app and HealthHub to order discharge and outpatient medications.
• Identify patients with low digital literacy and tailor guidance approaches to support their learning needs effectively.
• Conduct proactive outreach at key patient touchpoints to promote digital medication ordering.
• Support patients in becoming independent users of digital pharmacy services.
• Escalate technical issues and collect user feedback to relevant teams for continuous service improvement.
• Assist in internal pharmacy digitalisation initiatives, including preparation of educational materials and coordination of outreach activities.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Department, you will play a key role in supporting digital transformation initiatives by empowering patients to manage their medication needs through digital platforms. This role focuses on bridging the gap between patients and digital health services, ensuring a smooth, accessible, and user-friendly medication ordering experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on guidance to patients on using digital platforms such as the NUHS app and HealthHub to order discharge and outpatient medications
• Identify patients with low digital literacy and tailor guidance approaches to support their learning needs effectively
• Conduct proactive outreach at key patient touchpoints (e.g., waiting areas, discharge counters) to promote digital medication ordering
• Support patients in becoming independent users of digital pharmacy services
• Escalate technical issues and collect user feedback to relevant teams for continuous service improvement
• Assist in internal pharmacy digitalisation initiatives, including preparation of educational materials and coordination of outreach activities

Commitment

6 months contract; 4 Days/Week (4hours/day)

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent; higher qualifications in Business, Communications, Healthcare Management, or related fields are an advantage
• Comfortable using digital tools and mobile applications; familiarity with NUHS app and HealthHub is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and empathy in engaging elderly or digitally less-confident patients
• Good written communication skills for reporting and documentationAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proactive, adaptable, and willing to engage patients across different hospital touchpoints
• Prior experience in patient-facing, customer service, or healthcare-related roles will be an advantage
