We are looking for a disciplined and dependable Technician/ Senior Technician to join the Facilities team. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will handle daily repair and maintenance, coordinate with contractors, respond to emergencies, and play a proactive role in preventing breakdowns, all while improving systems and enhancing service delivery. Your responsibilities are as follows:
Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repairs – Perform daily minor repairs and maintenance at NKF Dialysis Centres. Ensure timely rectification of defects to minimise disruptions (to be completed within the day or an acceptable time frame). Proactively conduct preventive maintenance checks to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
- Contractor & Emergency Support – Coordinate and supervise contractors for minor/ad-hoc works, ensuring quality completion. Respond to after-hours emergencies and support critical facility issues when required, this includes during the weekends as well.
- Monitoring & Reporting – Update Reporting Officer on outstanding issues and follow through with rectification plans. Gather on-ground feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Service Improvement & Innovation – Continuously seek ways to improve maintenance processes and user experience. Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and contribute innovative ideas to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Nitec / ITC (Level 3) in Building Services or equivalent
Experience
- 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, with a strong practical background.
- Possession of a Class 3 driving licence is preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Experience in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services will be an added advantage.

- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance – Skilled in conducting routine checks, identifying faults early, and performing timely rectifications to minimise downtime.
- Contractor & Emergency Coordination – Capable of supervising contractors and responding effectively to urgent or after-hours facility issues.
- Effective Communication & Stakeholder Engagement – Able to liaise professionally with internal teams, contractors, and end-users to ensure smooth operations.
- Task Planning & Time Management – Strong organisational skills to prioritise work, manage schedules, and complete tasks independently.
