Job summary

Mandai Wildlife Group is seeking a Technician (Rides and Adventure) for Rainforest Wild Adventure EAST to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on amusement ride systems and adventure play equipment. You will log inspections, troubleshoot faults, and ensure safety in all maintenance activities.

The role requires a technical qualification in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical engineering and a minimum of 2 years in related industries.

Qualifications

• Nitec or higher in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years' engineering experience in automotive, amusement ride, or mechanical engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of amusement ride mechanical, electrical and control equipment, including adventure play equipment.
• Log maintenance inspections, corrective actions and repairs in the maintenance system.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and timely.
• Perform troubleshooting and recovery of ride-related faults and adventure systems.
• Maintain accountability of tools and equipment and keep good housekeeping.

Technician (Rides and Adventure), Technical Services - Rainforest Wild Adventure EAST

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of amusement ride mechanical, electrical and control equipment, including adventure play equipment in Rainforest Wild Adventure.
• Logs completion of maintenance inspections, corrective action and/or repairs made using maintenance system such as daily checklist and logbook.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
• Perform troubleshooting and recovery of Ride related faults and Adventure systems
• Accountability of tools and equipment and good housekeeping
• Any other related work as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering or related field of studies
• At least 2 years of engineering experience in automotive, amusement ride, or mechanical engineering industries is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manual to carry out work assignment.

• Ability to perform shifts including weekends and public holidays.

• Able to work at height.
• Basic computer skills (MS office).

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

• Physically capable of lifting and installing of components
• Prior experience in amusement rides maintenance will be an advantage.
