Job summary

A wildlife conservation organization in Singapore is seeking a Technician for Rides and Adventure. Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renowned wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of amusement ride mechanical, electrical and control equipment, including adventure play equipment in Rainforest Wild Africa.
  • Logs completion of maintenance inspections, corrective action and/or repairs made using maintenance system such as daily checklist and logbook.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
  • Perform troubleshooting and recovery of Ride related faults and Adventure systems
  • Accountability of tools and equipment and good housekeeping
  • Any other related work as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering or related field of studies with 2-3 years in equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Candidates with no prior experience but with a keen interest in developing their technical skills will be considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manual to carry out work assignment.
  • Ability to perform shifts including weekends and public holidays.
  • Able to work at height.
  • Basic computer skills (MS office).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Physically capable of lifting and installing of components
  • Prior experience in amusement rides maintenance will be an advantage.
