A leading aviation maintenance company in Singapore is looking for a skilled maintenance technician to perform critical measurements and install bushings accurately. The ideal candidate will have a Professional Certificate in Engineering and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Precision skills and attention to detail are essential for this role, along with a commitment to quality work and the ability to work overtime if needed.
The landing gear bushings play an important role in high-stress applications where vibrations and wear is problematic.
Bushings that connect struts or shocks to the airframe are metal to absorb vibrations and prevent wear to the larger components.
Without bushings, the landing gear system cannot effectively absorb vibrations, resulting in a bumpier landing to the aircraft on landing.
Size and installation of the bushing is a critical task. Incorrect sizing of bushing will result in premature wear at the landing gear linkages and struts.
This role is to carry out critical measurements of bushing requirements, ensuring the bushings are correctly corrosion treated and installation of the bushings.
