Job summary

SBS Transit Limited is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support electrical/electronic/mechatronics maintenance activities and ensure safe operation of signalling systems. You will assist in fault analysis, spare parts administration, and maintenance reporting across stations and depots.

The role requires teamwork, flexibility for 3 rotating shifts, good communication, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Prior railway signalling exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Higher Nitec or Nitec in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably with working experience in maintenance environment.
• Experience in the field of Railway Signalling is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess network knowledge.
• Able to work as part of a maintenance team and with people at all levels.
• Result oriented, self motivated and a team player.
• Willing to perform 3 rotating shifts.
• Ability to identify colours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance procedures and safety requirement
• Ensure major failures are responded to and rectified within reasonable time
• Assist in fault data, remedial works performed related to maintenance work and conduct investigations and fault analysis of persistence faults and suggest remedial actions
• Assist in checking the administration of the maintenance logistics (spares) required to ensure proper functioning of all maintenance activities
• Prepare maintenance and fault reports to Assistant Engineer in Charge
• Assist and maintain proper house keeping and security of Signalling maintenance offices, and equipment rooms in stations and depot
• Participate and support when audit by internal auditor and external auditor
• Assist and check that Work Instructions and Risk Management in Signalling are reviewed
• Assist in liaising with LTA in T&C of projects before, during and after hand over
• Ensure that any unsafe practices are reported and corrected accordingly
