Job summary

A leading aerospace company is looking for a skilled Non-Destructive Testing Technician in Singapore. The role involves performing various inspection methods and contributing to safety developments. Candidates should have an NITEC in a relevant field and at least 3 years of relevant experience in NDT. Comprehensive training in NDT practices is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC in Mechanical or related disciplines.
• Attained a Non-Destructive Testing formal training from an approved board.
• At least 3 years' practical experience in any 2 or more NDT methods of inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform various methods of inspection to meet standards.
• Blend off defects prior to NDT inspection.
• Contribute to HSE development and improvement.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To perform any 2 or more methods of inspection which may include fluorescent penetrant inspection, magnetic particle inspection, nital etch or eddy current inspection or ultrasonic inspection which meets the manufacturer's standard practices and specification.
• Other duties which also includes blending off defects such as corrosion and sharp edges etc prior to NDT inspection.
• Participate actively in contributing to HSE development and improvement.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC in Mechanical or related disciplines.
• Attained a Non-Destructive Testing formal training from an approved board.
• Personnel considered for certification in Non-Destructive Testing shall complete with passing grades in the applicable testing method(s) in both theory and practical exams conducted by CAAS and the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing and thereafter subject to 3 years certification in both theory and practical exams conducted by ASNT.
• At least 3 years' practical experience in any 2 or more NDT methods of inspection with certification.
