Job summary

A global leader in eye care seeks a Technician ll to handle chemical production routines at the Tuas Plant in Singapore. Responsibilities include managing production processes, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting efficiency improvement projects. Candidates should have NITEC in Chemical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Lifting heavy weights and rotating shifts are required. Transport is provided from Kranji and Boon Lay MRT.

Job Summary

As a Technician ll under our Chemical Production Department, you will be responsible for all the routine and non-routine processes of chemical formulations (lens materials, PAA supply tank, Phosphate Buffer Solution and Saline) operations in our Tuas Plant.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Performs routine and non-routine processes in chemical production operations
  • Helps manage and maintain chemical production calibration, documentation, inventory (i.e. cycle count), maintenance and compliance
  • Assumes full responsibility in maintaining training on the required technical, quality compliance and safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Participates and/or initiate projects that improve process efficiency and/or reduce operating cost
  • Knows, understands and complies with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) guidelines. Reports any unsafe conditions, injuries, illnesses and hazardous material releases
  • Knowledgeable in safe handling of chemicals/waste disposal
  • Supports implementation of Data Integrity (DI) Program for the site
Job Requirement
  • NITEC in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Min 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment, production operations, GMP/GDP manufacturing or any other related manufacturing sectors.
  • Comfortable to be lifting heavy weights
  • Forklift Licence is an advantage
  • Transport provided from Kranji and Boon Lay MRT
  • Can perform 12 hours rotating day and overnight shift work (2-2-3 shift pattern)
