Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IoT Technician to support our deployment of LoRaWAN-based sensors and gateways. The role involves testing, commissioning, and maintaining IoT devices, as well as supervising installers and providing after-sales support. You will work closely with engineers to ensure reliable data collection and system performance across various smart-building and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and commission IoT sensors and gateways on-site.
  • Perform site visits for survey, installation checks, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Supervise contractors and installers to ensure correct wiring, configuration, and mounting of devices.
  • Read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLD) for setup and troubleshooting.
  • Verify sensor connectivity and data transmission through LoRaWAN networks.
  • Perform firmware updates, sensor calibration, and diagnostics as required.
  • Provide after-sales support, both on-site and remotely.
  • Document commissioning results and prepare reports for internal and client review.
  • Assist in basic scripting or automation tasks using C/C++ or Python for device configuration or data testing.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or IoT-related Engineering from a Polytechnic or University.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in IoT, electrical installation, or equipment testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret PCB schematics and SLD drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of C/C++ or Python programming.
  • Familiar with LoRaWAN communication and related IoT hardware.
  • Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented, with good problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work on-site (indoor/outdoor) for testing and commissioning activities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with LoRaWAN gateways and sensor configuration tools.
  • Familiar with network setup and troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, Ethernet).
  • Experience using test instruments such as multimeters or oscilloscopes.
  • Exposure to smart building or industrial IoT deployments is an advantage.
