Job summary

MICRON SEMICONDUCTOR ASIA OPERATIONS PTE LTD is seeking a detail-oriented engineer to perform technical tests and experiments in wafer fabrication. You will set up processing equipment, monitor performance, and prepare detailed records for yield improvement and new product testing.

You will collaborate with multiple teams, mentor line operators, and contribute to equipment uptime and process improvements, including TPM and 6S activities. Night shifts and flexible hours are possible in this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related field.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good teamwork and communication, both written and verbal.
• Willing to work night shifts and flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting technical tests and experiments for process and R&D engineering in the wafer fabrication sector of semiconductor manufacturing.
• Setting up semiconductor processing equipment to strict specifications.
• Monitoring, auditing, and providing mentorship to line operators to achieve world-class results.
• Processing test runs and preparing detailed records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering, aimed at identifying yield problems or testing new products.
• Working on Fab equipment and processes to ensure outstanding performance.
• Tracking, preserving, and refining equipment and processes via basic troubleshooting of tool issues.
• Analyzing and disposing out-of-control events in accordance with established SPC rules for both tool qualification and product measurements.
• Assisting engineering requests through testing and experimenting on processes and equipment, while carefully gathering, recording, and examining data from these tests and experiments.
• Assisting in the installation, relocation, and upgrades of tools.
• Improving tool uptime through quality detailed problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Detailing all maintenance performed in established check sheets and tracking programs, and routinely reviewing maintenance check sheets and procedures.
• Partnering with other areas or departments to solve issues collaboratively.
• Supporting and maintaining TPM and 6S activities to maintain a flawless work environment.

Job Requirements

• A relevant Diploma in any Engineering courses OR equivalent working experience
• Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related field.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Open to working flexible hours, including night shifts.
