A leading optics manufacturer in Singapore is seeking a Technician in the Coating department. You will operate manufacturing processes, ensure quality standards, and maintain safety guidelines. Candidates should have a Singapore Technical Certificate or Diploma and a minimum of 6 months’ experience in a factory environment. This role requires the ability to lift up to 10kg and operate machinery effectively.

Brief Summary

As a Technician in the Coating department, you'll operate part optical components manufacturing processes within specifications, meeting quality standards, and adhering to safety regulations.

Job Description

• To understand how to reach Acceptance Test Plan (ATP).
• Demonstrate understanding of coating material.
• Demonstrate understanding of machine operation.
• Operate vacuum chambers to deposit think film AR coatings as described in run sheet design.
• Demonstrate ability to properly use metrology equipment (spectrometer) to gather data on witness pieces.
• Perform maintenance on vacuum system as described in WI.
• Operate Intec/LP machine and long layer BS coating.
• Perform preventative maintenance for weekly scheduled jobs.
• Capable of operating 2 machines simultaneously.
• Achieve daily and monthly production output goals.
• Record machine runs, test runs, downtime, and other.
• Properly use, maintain, and control measuring equipment.
• Maintain safety guidelines of workplace.
• Perform duties within cleanliness standards of workplace.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
• Comply with company regulations.

Qualifications Required

• Singapore Technical Certificate or Diploma with basic written and oral English

Skills & Abilities Required

• Minimum 6 months’ experience in a factory environment, capable of following instructions and performing production tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 10kg.
