Job Description

• Understanding and interpreting technical drawing which includes geometrical dimension and tolerance and related engineering information to determine type of processes required, establish a cost efficient method of production and plan the sequence of manufacturing operation needed to product the part.
• Identify and select appropriate tool and machine to be used in preparation for the machining task.
• Develop CNC program for milling and turning using SolidCAM software.
• Monitor and improve production cycle time and cost.
• Design fixture, gauge or tooling accessory to support production process.
• Provide technical support to production department.
• Participate in cost reduction, quality improvement, safety awareness and other activities for continual improvement.

Requirements

• Higher NITEC level in mechanical engineering or GCE "O" level with at least 3 years of working experience in precision engineering manufacturing environment.
• Competency in the application of SolidWorks and SolidCAM software.
• Proficient in understanding engineering drawings with sound knowledge of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Good knowledge in selection of cutting tools.
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol and Heidenhain programming language is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and multi-task with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Able to work as a team.
