Job summary

Office Productivity Solution Pte Ltd. is seeking a Cabler/Cable Technician to install and route structured cabling across customer sites in Singapore. You will perform cable pulling, labeling, and testing, ensuring compliance with EMA guidelines and safety standards.

The role requires reading blueprints and collaborating with project teams to meet schedules. Experience in cabling and familiarity with tools such as cable testers and termination tools are preferred; a valid EMA license is

Qualifications

• Experience as cabler or cable technician preferred.
• Knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI preferred).
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools (e.g., cable testers, drills, termination tools).
• Basic understanding of safety practices and regulations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• EMA Electrical Worker Licence is an advantage.
• Willing to undergo training for electrical-scope work if not licensed.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and route structured cabling (Cat5e/6/6A, fiber, etc.) in new and existing construction.
• Perform cable pulling, dressing, termination, and labelling in accordance with industry standards.
• Assist with electrical isolation and basic electrical support works where required, under the supervision or approval of an EMA Licensed Electrician.
• Test and troubleshoot installed systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements (including EMA guidelines where applicable).
• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and project managers to meet deadlines.
• Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good working condition.
• Document work completed, including test results and installation records.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cabler, Cable Technician, or similar role is a plus.
• Knowledge of structured cabling installation standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI preferred).
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools (e.g., cable testers, drills, termination tools).
• Basic understanding of safety practices and regulations.
