Job summary

A manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a skilled individual for a role involving equipment manufacturing and quality assurance. The successful candidate will perform system tests, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and support training for newcomers. Candidates should have a relevant diploma and at least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. A commitment to working in a cleanroom environment and shift patterns is also required.

Job Summary

Responsible for manufacturing/test the equipment, production output, quality, on-time delivery, process improvement, safety and housekeeping in the manufacturing line to manufacture high quality products for customers with the objective of ensuring smooth business operations within department guidelines, work protocols and corporate policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform product functional/system test and leak test, identify errors and conduct rework if required
  • Actively involved in the knowledge and capability build up the manufacturing/test team (TTS)
  • Document troubleshooting methodology, information, analyzes facts/conditions regarding the reported issue, and create coaching materials/technical materials (TTS)
  • Lead and actively participate in manufacturing continuous improvement program (TTS)
  • Initiate ideas to improve productivity, quality & safety
  • Ensure full and efficient pass down to the next shift
  • Report and assist engineers in problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with engineers in line issues problem solving and troubleshooting (TTS)
  • Escalate up for any unresolve problems or abnormalities for resolution
  • Train and guide newcomers (Buddy System)
  • Highlight any problems or abnormalities in production floor
  • Perform housekeeping, adhere to manufacturing discipline and cleanroom protocol
  • Support other ad-hoc activities and tasking that assign by the superior
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Possess hands-on experience in equipment manufacturing and troubleshooting
  • Competent in analytical problem solving and statistical tools
  • Ability to work in a systematic manner and can withstand occasional workload & schedule pressure
  • Independent, self-driven, and able to work with less supervision
Educational/Certification Requirement
  • NITEC / Higher NITEC/ Professional Certificate or its equivalent
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Engineering
Experience Requirement
  • Able to comprehend electrical / mechanical drawings
  • Willing to commit to the shift pattern and OT if required
  • Able to carry heavy loads (up to 20Kg)
  • Must be willing to work in the cleanroom environment: wearing jumpsuits, safety helmet and safety shoes
  • Must be willing to work shift work
  • Responsible, Self-motivated, Committed and Good interpersonal skills
