Job summary

A multinational corporation in Singapore is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide comprehensive support to the commercial team, perform failure analysis, and assist in R&D activities.   • Working hours: 8.30am to 5.15pm

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive technical support to the commercial team through technical data analysis, competitor grade comparison, and troubleshooting for both pre-sales and after-sales activities, while collaborating with global teams to standardize testing methods, conduct evaluations, and perform benchmarking tests as required.
  • Perform failure analysis, benchmark testing, and both destructive and non-destructive testing to identify physical defects in materials or products.
  • Support production and logistics teams in production-related tasks and incoming/in process quality operations.
  • Assist R&D Team with benchmark testing and development of new analytical methods based on customer requirements.
  • Execute standard laboratory procedures, maintain proper documentation, and ensure accurate recording of experimental data.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs), and coordinate with vendors for technical issues.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, including consumables and spare parts.
  • Participate as an ISO 17025 committee member to maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure tests are conducted according to ISO standards.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree and above in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field. Candidates with a Chemical background will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of polymers and plastics.
  • Familiarity with injection molding technology and analytical techniques.
