A leading marine services firm in Singapore is seeking a Technical Superintendent to maintain vessels, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing repairs. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of shore experience in tanker companies, is familiar with vetting requirements, and is willing to travel. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure optimal vessel operation.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years experience ashore as a Technical Superintendent in tanker companies.
• Experience handling foreign-going vessels.
• Familiarity with Oil Majors vetting and inspection requirements.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Maintain vessels to the requirements of Classification Society, Flag State, Port State, Oil Majors, and local regulations.
• Execute planned maintenance systems and ensure compliance.
• Approve and monitor repairs; prepare purchase orders and work orders.
• Prepare dry‑docking/repair specifications and monitor work progress.
• Maintain vessel budget and meet operational standards as required by Owners.
• Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and closing reports.
• Attend inspections by Class Society, Flag State, Port State, Underwriters, and Oil Majors.
• Liaise with Terminal Representatives, Charterers, Agents, Operators, and Fujairah Freezone Officials.
• Act as first point of contact for vessel matters at the Fujairah branch office.
• Assist Crew Department in coordinating crew matters.
• Perform any other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in related field.
• 3 to 5 years experience ashore as a Technical Superintendent in tanker companies.
• Experience handling foreign‑going vessels.
• Willingness to travel abroad on a rotational basis.
• Familiarity with Oil Majors vetting and inspection requirements.
• COC Class 1 holder with sailing experience on product tankers is an added advantage.
