Job summary

Comaea Consulting seeks a Technical Superintendent based in Singapore to oversee technical performance of 3-4 merchant vessels and ensure safe, compliant operations. You will lead routine and preventive maintenance, monitor regulatory requirements, and manage budgets while developing shipboard teams.

Ideal candidates are seasoned Marine Engineers with at least 12 months as Chief Engineer on merchant vessels and a track record in technical supervision or ship-to-shore transitions.

Qualifications

• Qualified Marine Engineer; a degree in business or related discipline is an added advantage.
• Experience as Chief Engineer for 12 months on Merchant Vessels.
• Prior experience as a technical superintendent is a nice to have; Chief Engineers transitioning from ship to shore will be considered.
• People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams.
• Business acumen with capability to manage budgetary responsibilities for multiple vessels.
• Highly analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills; able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Well updated with the latest regulatory requirements and its implementation.

Organization

You will be in-charge of managing the technical and operational performance of 3-4 merchant vessels. Your key role is to ensure safe and efficient operations of the companys vessels, their routine and preventive maintenance, and that all international marine requirements are complied with.

Requirements
