Job summary

A well-established ship management company in Singapore is seeking a Technical Superintendent for a permanent position. The role involves maintaining vessels to meet various regulatory requirements, executing planned maintenance, and keeping within budget. Candidates should have a COC Class 1 or 2 with sailing experience and be willing to travel to Fujairah on a rotational basis. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Holders of COC Class 1 or 2 with sailing experience on product tankers.
  • Experience in handling foreign-going vessels is required.
  • Must be willing to travel to Fujairah on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain vessels to meet requirements of Classification Society and regulations.
  • Execute planned maintenance system ensuring compliance.
  • Approve and monitor repairs and prepare work orders.
  • Prepare dry-docking specifications and monitor work.
  • Maintain vessel budget and meet operational standards.

Job description

A well-established ship management company located in Singapore is seeking a Technical Superintendent on permanent position. This position will require rotation to Fujairah UAE occasionally (Schedule to be discussed between Employer and Employee).

  • Insurance : Group Hospitalization & Surgical Plan and Personal Accident
  • Bonus – 1 to 3 months subjective to company’s performance
Responsibilities
  • Maintain vessels to the requirement of Classification Society, Flag state, Port State, Oil majors and state regulations that the vessels are plying.
  • Execute planned maintenance system and ensure compliance.
  • Approve and monitor repairs, prepare purchase order and works order.
  • Prepare dry-docking / repair specifications and monitor work progress.
  • Maintain vessel allocated budget and meet operational standard as required by Owners.
  • Carry out internal audits, risk assessment, incident investigation and closing out report.
  • Attend to all inspections by Class Society, Flag State, Port State, Underwriters and Oil Majors.
  • Liaise with Terminal Representative, Charterers, Agents, Operators and Fujairah Freezone Official.
  • At the Fujairah branch office, to be the first point of contact for vessel matters.
  • Assist Crew Department in coordinating crew matters.
Requirements
  • COC Class 1 or 2 holders with sailing experience on product tankers
  • Experience in handling Foreign going vessel
  • Must be willing to travel abroad ( Fujairah ) on a rotational basis
  • Possess good spoken and written communication skills in English language
  • Familiar with Oil Majors vettings and inspections requirements
  • Analytical, able to work independently, results oriented, resourceful and pro-active
