Job summary

Becton, Dickinson, and Company in Singapore (Tuas Plant) is seeking technicians to provide technical expertise in electrical control and automation, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot machines to meet production targets. The role includes night shifts 7pm–7am on a 3/4/4/3 pattern, with training on day shift initially.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in Electrical control & automation.
• Able to interpret electrical or electronics wiring or schematic diagrams.
• Basic knowledge/experience with PLC (Omron or Allen Bradley) is an advantage.
• Understanding of pneumatic diagrams and sensors (reflective, proximity).
• Familiarity with Industry vision systems (Cognex & Keyence) and HMI/motor controllers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machines to meet production output and quality metrics.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, service and replacements.
• Troubleshoot machine issues to meet targets and standards.
• Lead machine enhancements and project assignments; write standard work instructions.
• Assist engineers and teammates in CI activities and training.

(Shift Pattern 3/4/4/3). During training period, you will be on day shift 7:00am to 4:00pm.Main ResponsibilitiesMaintain machines to meet production output, and other metrics like quality, waste etc.Perform Preventive Maintenance (Cleaning, Service, Replace)Perform troubleshooting of machine to meet production targets, safety and quality standards and/or specificationsInitiate, Implement and follow-up on machine enhancement and project assignmentsWrite Standard Work Instruction / Procedure for assigned operation / processImplement Corrective and Preventives ActionsParticipate in training and coaching of Technicians and new hires on skills and knowledge on machine operations and adjustmentsAssist Engineers or Subject Matter Experts for any CI activities.Ability to interpret electrical or electronics wiring or schematic diagrams.Basic knowledge with Programmable Logic Controllers (eg.
