Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Singapore is seeking a Compactor Maintenance Executive to oversee workshop repairs and on-site operations for compactors. The ideal candidate will have a Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and skills in PLC programming and mechanical systems. Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in compactor maintenance is advantageous.
  • Ability to tweak systems to meet operational needs.
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Receive breakdown alerts and coordinate technician dispatches.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance cycles for compactors.
  • Ensure all repairs are done correctly and ready for QC checks.
  • Coordinate with Ops for servicing and spare parts readiness.
  • Teach users how to operate compactors safely.
  • Manage inventory of hydraulic oil and spare parts.
  • Supervise on-site maintenance at bin centers.
  • Work with 3-phase power systems.

🚀 What You'll Be Doing
  • 🔧 Be the first responder: Receive breakdown alerts and coordinate fast, effective technician dispatches.
  • 📅 Plan like a pro: Schedule preventive maintenance cycles for our compactors and customer-owned units.
  • 🧪 Quality matters: Ensure all workshop repairs are done right and ready for QC checks.
  • 🚚 Coordinate the haul: Work with Ops to bring compactors in for servicing and ensure spare parts are ready.
  • 🎓 Train and advise: Teach users how to operate compactors safely and efficiently.
  • 🛢️ Manage inventory: Keep hydraulic oil and spare parts stocked and ready for action.
  • 🏗️ Lead on-site works: Supervise maintenance at bin centres and support suction equipment operations.
  • ⚡ Know your systems: Work with Star/Delta 3-phase power systems and support fleet management.
  • 🧠 Think safety first: Champion zero-accident culture and follow HSE guidelines.
🎓 Who You Are
  • Hold a Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Have 2+ years of experience in compactor maintenance will be an added advantage.
  • Skilled in PLC programming and able to tweak systems to meet operational needs.
  • Strong in mechanical and hydraulic systems, bonus if you can redesign components!
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driving license.
