A leading maritime service provider in Singapore seeks a Service Sales Team Leader to manage and lead the Service Sales team. Responsibilities include setting sales strategies, ensuring service quality, building customer relationships, and driving business growth across the Southeast Asia region. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and experience in technical service-related sales while ensuring compliance with global standards.
The role of the Service Sales Team Leader is to lead and manage the Service Sales team in Singapore,
covering Technical Service-related sales (small Retrofit, System Upgradation, Corrective / Routine Maintenance).
Regional scope includes SEA, Oceania (Australia & New Zealand), and selected Asia countries (Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Korea).
The Team Leader is responsible for setting sales strategies, ensuring seamless service delivery, building long-term customer relationships,
and driving business growth while aligning with HMSS and HQ global standards.
This position also ensures compliance, reporting, and process standardization across the regional service sales function.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Service Sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Set annual and quarterly sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective measures.
Ensure effective workload distribution, timely support, and motivation within the team.
Provide training, guidance, and continuous improvement initiatives for team members.
Supervise service inquiry management, quotation issuance, and follow-ups.
Ensure proper allocation of technical inquiries to stakeholders for remote or onsite support.
Oversee service quality and ensure jobs are carried out safely and in accordance with plans.
Monitor service progress updates and ensure timely reporting to internal/external stakeholders.
Act as a key contact for major accounts and high-value customers in the region.
Strengthen and expand business relationships with shipowners, vessel managers, and technical representatives.
Conduct strategic customer meetings to present company’s latest products and technologies.
Promote HMSS value proposition and target non-Hyundai related equipment/system services.
Drive sales growth through opportunity identification, proposal submission, and contract negotiation.
Track customer buying behavior and vessel activities to anticipate sales opportunities.
Oversee and ensure accurate sales pipeline management and reporting.
Ensure timely closing of service orders and payment collection.
Coordinate closely with HMST, logistics, parts, and technical teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
Review and approve internal sales documentation, quotations, and proposals.
Support finance processes including invoicing, dispute resolution, and payment follow-ups.
Standardize and improve sales processes across the regional offices for efficiency.
Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies, contract terms, and EU regulations.
Implement and monitor adherence to standardized processes and pricing policies.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, service delivery, and customer feedback to senior management.
Represent HMSS Singapore in HQ meetings, acting as a bridge between regional customers and HQ.
