Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead Architecture and Civil matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review design submissions, RFIs and design changes.
• Evaluate solutions for technical, cost, schedule, and maintainability factors.
• Provide site planning, layouts, structural design, foundations, floor loading and vibration control.
• Review utilities corridors and cleanroom infrastructure requirements.
• Participate in safety, constructability, risk and value engineering reviews.
• Ensure designs support long-term operations and future expansion.
• Collaborate with EPCs, consultants and vendors to resolve interfaces.
• Coordinate with Production, Process Eng, Facilities and EHS teams.
• Support regulatory submissions and authority approvals.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and handover.

Role Overview

A leading high-tech manufacturing organisation is expanding its facilities in Singapore and is looking for a senior technical professional to oversee the Architecture and Civil aspects of a major facility development project. You will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from design and construction through commissioning and operational handover. The role will involve working closely with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the facility is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Architecture and Civil technical matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and provide technical input on design submissions, RFIs and proposed design changes.
• Evaluate proposed solutions from technical, cost, schedule, operational and maintainability perspectives.
• Provide technical guidance on site planning, building layouts, structural design, foundations, floor loading and vibration control.
• Review requirements related to utilities corridors and cleanroom supporting infrastructure.
• Participate in design safety, constructability, risk and value engineering reviews.
• Ensure designs support long-term operations, maintenance and future expansion.
• Work closely with EPC contractors, consultants and vendors to resolve technical issues and design interfaces.
• Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Facilities and EHS teams.
• Support regulatory submissions, authority approvals and statutory compliance.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and facility handover.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical, data centre or other high-tech facility projects.
• Experience covering design review, project execution, construction support and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of architecture, civil and structural systems for industrial facilities.
• Experience with site planning, structural design, foundations, floor loading and vibration control.
• Familiarity with Singapore building regulations and authority approval processes.
• Experience working with EPC project delivery, design management and change management.
• Professional Architect or Professional Engineer registration is an advantage.
• Exposure to BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks is advantageous.
