Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain PMP certification within one year.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

• Ensure projects align with customer deliverables through collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop Project Charters outlining strategy, scope, financials and schedule.
• Manage change control and project decision documentation.

• Own macro schedules and oversee functional team micro-schedules.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting cost, quality or timing.

Molex is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead global, cross-functional teams through the New Product Development process, from project initiation and approval through the start of production.

Based in Singapore, you will manage multiple technical projects, collaborate directly with customers, guide team members, solve complex problems, and remain accountable for key project-level decisions. This role requires strong technical project management experience and the ability to work effectively across different functions, organizations, and regions.

Our Team

You will be part of the DSS organization and report to the Senior Manager, Technical Project Management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and global Molex teams to support the successful delivery of new products.

What You Will Do

• Simultaneously lead multiple New Product Development projects for customer specific and general market projects.
• Ensure Molex key technology projects seamlessly support our customer’s finished good project deliverables through close collaboration and effective communication with our customer.
• Develop internal & external facing Project Charters that clearly articulate project strategy, scope, financials, and schedule.
• Manage Project Change Control and Decision Documentation.
• Lead Project Plan development, management, and closure (transfer to production owner).
• Own and develop Macro Project Schedules and understand and hold accountable Functional Team Members supporting Micro Schedules.
• Proactively identify, document, and execute risk reduction activities to minimize Project Risks associated with Cost, Quality, and/or Timing that could negatively affect Project Plan achievement.
• Own Project Reporting communication to both Management and Customers.
• Lead and mentor team members in project management principles, PDP processes, risk management, issue resolution, decision making, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Management, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least five years of related project management experience within product development or a technical environment.
• At least five years of experience applying project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience leading multinational teams within a matrix organization.
• Strong customer relationship, leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and schedules effectively.
• Fluent in Mandarin to support engagement with Mandarin-speaking customers & associates.
• Willingness to obtain PMP certification within one year.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to participate in evening calls when required due to global time-zone differences.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Master of Business Administration.
• Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience with Advanced Quality Planning tools and methodologies, including FMEA and SPC.
• Knowledge or experience in Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
• Experience using SAP.
