Job summary

A construction company in Singapore seeks a Project Engineer to work closely with management on designs and construction methods. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of construction experience, especially in precast concrete. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• In-charge of all submissions to stakeholders.
• Assist Site Engineer with site works and quality control.
• Assist in overall project planning and duties.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Manager and various function heads such as the Technical Manager, Architectural Manager, M&E Manager, BIM Manager etc., for all technical matters involving designs, construction methods, work procedures, quality control and document control.
• Provide technical support to project team and project tender team when required.
• Chair and attend Technical meeting, review technical specifications, detect design/technical issues and drawing discrepancies and resolve technical queries with consultants and sub-contractors.
• Work closely with client, consultants and sub-contractor on project deliverables ensuring project requirements are met.
• In-charge of all submissions to clients, consultants, authorities and other stakeholders; ensuring submissions are timely and fulfilled.
• Assist Site Engineer, supervise & coordinate day-to-day site works, including sub-contract works, safety and quality control.
• Assist PM/PD in the overall project planning and other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Relevant Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Singapore PE Board.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction projects.
• Having hands-on experience or knowledge in precast concrete elements and façade systems is highly beneficial.
• Analytical, organized and possess strong planning skills.
• Excellent project and time management abilities.
• An effective communicator and has strong interpersonal skills.
